Dear friends,

I am trying to find thife transient dynamics response of clamped clamped laminated cylindrical shell subjected to Radial impulsive load. I am getting very irregular response using Newmark Integration scheme. But, using HHT-alpha method, high frequency noise from the response gets removed, but damping is intrdoced (Numerical Damping). Although i have not introduced and damping in my model. How to overcome this problem.

I need help in this regard.

i want to perform dynamic analysis of a tank filled with fluid. I was trying to model this in ANSYS with FLUID80 element for fluid and shell element for the shell. But due to complexity, i was forced to used degenerated solid element, which FLUID80 does not allow.

please tell me any other way to model it.

I am a bit confused as some literature says its a long column and other says short column meant to take compressive loads only.
