Dear colleagues,

I would like to inform you about a Works "Materials resistant to extreme conditions for future energy systems", 12-14 June 2017, Kyiv – Ukraine.

The Workshop is funded by the European Commission Enlargement Programme. There is no fee to attend.  Participants from the target countries* can apply for a Grant to cover their cost.  Eligible for Grants are those that work in or are citizens of a target country.

MatISSE/JPNM workshop on cross-cutting issues in structural materials R&D for future energy systems Petten, Netherlands, Nov. 25-26

 A Workshop will be Organized at Instute of Energy and Transport in Petten, the Netherlands, the 25 and 26th of November. The topic of the Workshop is "cross-cutting issues in structural materials R&D for future energy systems ". It will be organised around four cross-cutting issues:

Grants for Workshop on "Physics-based fracture and damage mechanics" in Antalya/Turkey, May 15-17, 2013

We would like to inform you about a Workshop on "Physics-based fracture and damage mechanics" in Antalya/Turkey, May 15-17, 2013.

The workshop is co-organized by the Joint Research Centre (European Commission) and TOBB University of Economics and Technology. The Workshop is funded by the European Commission’s Integration and Enlargement Action. The participants from target countries* (citizen of or working in a target country) can be fully financially supported by the European Commission.

Post-doc, JRC-Petten: Microstructural characterisation of materials and mechanical property correlation

The Joint Research Centre of the European Commission,Insitute for Energy (IET), in Petten Nehterlands, is looking for a motivated scientist or engineer at post-doctoral level to work on characterization of primarily metallic materials for nuclear reactors using a combination of techniques such as scanning and transmission electron microscopy (SEM and TEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), Xray diffraction (XRD), and 3D X-ray tomography.  (see attachment)

EC FUNDED WORKSHOP ON PHYSICS BASED MODELING OF MATERIALS, Ankara, October 22-23

The objective of the workshop, co-organized by Joint Research Centre of the European Commission and Middle East Technical University, is to discuss the present status of physics based constitutive modelling of metallic materials and associated experimental methods.

The Workshop is funded by the European Commission's Integration and Enlargment Programme.  There is no cost for attending the Workshop. A limited number of scholarships is available for participants from the target countries (see attached flyer).
