I have a question about half space problems.

When I want to solve a half space problem by utilize a numerical method such as FEM how I should consider the boundary counditions at the infinite bound??

when I want to solve with a analytical method I know it but What I should do for FEM at infinite bound??

Time steps

Hi Dears

I wrote a numerical solution code for 1D diffusion using Isogeometric and alfa method. I have a problem with time steps because when I increase the time steps for a specified length for example 0-0.1 the solution increase too. For example in below fig. blue, red and green lines are for 50, 80 and 100 step time respectively.

 

Can anybody help me with this problem??

Do You know that how many kinds of coupled thermoelasticity theory exist up to now???

If you can tell the names of these theories it's better and although If you know any good reference about this please tell me.

B-Spline and NURBS

Hi Dears

I have a question about B-Spline or NURBS. Assume that we have a X(u)=sig(Ri,p(u)).Xi that Xi are the control points and Ri,p are the rational basis functions. When I choose a parametric variable like ui according to control point by interpolation I can find the X(ui), now the question is this that can I find the parametric variable according to having an spatial X(u)??? It means that can I find the parametric variable that have resulted a spatial X(u) that I have it???

Temperature dependent material

Hi Dears and of course metallurgist.

Who person can tell me the relation between the material properties such as Yang modulus, density, thermal coefficient etc. and temperature??

All of properties follow from one relation to temperature? For example if E(T)=Ea+100T then the density and another property have the same relation like P(T)=Pa+100T ??

Who works on Elastic wave propagation and its reflection? How I can fine the formolations of elastic wave after its reflection from arbitrary boundaries ?? Can you intruducing any refrences to me??

I run a scrip in apaqus and do'nt need to see the graphical process in window of software and just the output data is essential for me!!
