The Centre for Research in Computational and Applied Mechanics (Cerecam) at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, invites applications for a post-doctoral fellowship in nonlinear computational mechanics. Further information about the position may be obtained from Professor
Daya Reddy (daya.reddy@uct.ac.za).

Applications from individuals whose doctoral studies have been in a branch of computational mechanics, broadly, are welcomed. Candidates whose research interests are complementary to those of Cerecam members, and whose strengths lie in the general domain of finite elements for nonlinear problems, are especially encouraged to apply. In this regard see http://www.cerecam.uct.ac.za for details of current and recent activities in Cerecam.

Applications should be sent electronically to Olivia Goodhind at Olivia.goodhind@uct.ac.za. These should include a curriculum vitae with list of publications, a brief description of current research interests and potential areas of post-doctoral activity, and the names and email contact details of two referees. The closing date for applications is 15 March 2011.
