The Department of Wind Energy at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU Wind Energy) has an open 2-year postdoctoral position in the area of Wind turbine drivetrain dynamics and gearbox bearing load computations with a focus in multi-body simulations and life prediction under White Etching Cracks.

Assistant Professors (tenure track) / Associate Professors in Mechanical Engineering, Department of Engineering, Aarhus University 979843

The Department of Engineering at Aarhus University has a number of open positions as Assistant Professor (tenure track) or Associate Professor at the Section of Mechanical Engineering. The University seeks innovative and visionary engineers/researchers capable of developing the research in Mechanical Engineering.

The positions are available from October 1, 2019 or as soon as possible hereafter.

Assistant Professors / Associate Professors in Mechanical Engineering 825559

Department of Engineering (ENG), Aarhus University (AU) invites applications for a number of positions as tenure track assistant professors or associate professors in the field of Mechanical Engineering (ME). The University has ambitious plans to increase its activities significantly within research and education as well as public and industrial collaboration with the vision of bringing AU into the global engineering elite.

PhD scholarship in Diesel Engine Tribology

A PhD scholarship is available at DTU Mechanical Engineering, Section for Solid Mechanics, in the field of diesel engine tribology. The scholarship focuses on computational modelling and experimental verification of fluid film and bearing parts of journal bearings in large two-stroke diesel engines. The department has well-established research activities in these fields and the present scholarship is partly funded by the EU-project Hercules-C. The research activities will be performed in close cooperation with MAN Diesel & Turbo SE located in Copenhagen.

Postdoc in Characterisation of Steel

The Materials Research Division at Risø DTU, Technical University of Denmark, is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position in the field of defect characterisation in steel.

Job description
The position is part of a research project funded by the Danish Council for Strategic Research aiming at increasing the fundamental knowledge of steel used in gears and bearings in wind turbines. The position involves the following tasks:

PhD scholarship in Computational stress and damage modelling for rolling contact fatigue - DTU Mechanical Engineering

A PhD scholarship is available at DTU Mechanical Engineering, Section for Solid Mechanics, in the field of fatigue and wear in rolling and sliding contacts, with focus on computational stress and damage modelling. The department has well-established research activities in this field. The present scholarship is partly funded by the Danish Centre for Knowledge based Engineering for Improved Reliability of Critical Wind turbine Components (REWIND)  supported by the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation.

Two PhD scholarships in Fatigue and Wear in Rolling and Sliding Contacts - Technical University of Denmark

Two PhD scholarships are available at DTU Mechanical Engineering, Section for Solid Mechanics, in the field of fatigue and wear in rolling and sliding contacts. One has focus on computational stress and damage modeling, while the other has focus on elastohydrodynamic lubricant film modelling and experimental verification.
