PhD/post-doc on development of complex geometry reduced order models for multi-scale permeability simulation

This research focuses on the development of model order reduction methods to speed up the (repeated) multiscale prediction of permeability in composite manufacturing processes. The permeability of a composite material has a very large impact on the production process of components. It is therefore required to have an accurate knowledge and understanding of the permeability, which depends on the micro- and meso-scale geometry, in order to have a robust manufacturing process.

Abaqus scripting - variable is unavailable

Hi guys,

I've recently started scripting in Abaqus and I ran into a major issue. To clarify
my problem, I've uploaded a simplified version of my inputfile (http://www.box.net/shared/dd61iog2oc0hcpn4jcbf).
The model contains fibres and matrix. All fibres and matrix are
subjected to a displacement, except for the centre fibre. These boundary
conditions give rise to stress concentrations. The core of my work is
to determine this stress concentration.
