plastic energy density in an element

Hi every body,

I  did an orthogonal cutting simulation and I want to calculate the plastic deformation energy density distribution underneath the tool tip during cutting.

Anyone can give me more informations about this?

Residual stress simulation by Deform-2D

Hi every one,I'm doing the prediction of residual stresses using Deform-2D (orthogonal cutting) and I have a problem in axial component  I found its value is very large.Have any one already did a work like this and if yes can anyone give me more details about the unloading phase: removing the tool from machined surface, cooling phase, boundary conditions applied during these steps etc..Thanks

Hi everybody,

 

I'm trying to model a 2D orthogonal cutting by Abaqus by using ALE method. I have some distortion of mesh in front of the cuuting noise so I try to define an eulerian surfaces around the cutting noise. 

Johanson Cook parameters

Hi, Every one i am student doing my masters and i have got the
experimental result from tensile test for different temperature stress vs strain and orthogonal cut .
but i am going to apply the Johnson cook material model. please can any
one give me how to find A,B,C,N and M please i have read it found from
the experimental data i have got but i didn't know how to find please

I want your help

I'm doing a model by ABAQUS. I want to apply force in the first step and after that I want to change the geometry in the second step (I want to do a hole in my geometry).

How can I change my geometry after applying the force?
