Postdoctoral Fellow

PhD or Postdoc position (TVL13)

In the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Bauhaus University Weimar, Germany, there is an opening for a doctoral student (research assistant) beginning on October 1st, 2016.  The position is at the Chair "Modelling and Simulation - Mechanics" in the Institute of Structural Mechanics and it is initially limited to 2 years. An extension is possible in accordance with the applicable regulations of the Science Employment Law (WissZeitVG).

Responsibilities:

Early Stage Researcher Position

We seek an early stage researcher for the Marie Curie project ITN INSIST (Initial Training Network - Integrating Numerical Simulation and Geometric Design Technology). The network is composed of 7 industrial and academic partners located in Germany, UK, Belgium, Spain and Austria and the opening is at Bauhaus University - Weimar, Germany.

Postdoc or PhD position - Multiscale Modeling of Polymer-Matrix-Composites

At the chair of Computational Mechanics (chair Prof. T. Rabczuk) at the Bauhaus University Weimar, there is 

1 open position for PhD-student or Post-Doc

for a maximum period of 3 years. The applicant is supposed to work in an international team and should suppose to collaborate with PhD-students and Post-Docs. In this project, effective coarse-graining methods for polymers and polymer-matrix composites should be devised and implemented in our in-house code.
