As I know, you shoud make APDL program to obtain J-integral in a crack problem. I&amp;nbsp;recommand you to learn APDL and J-integral example in ANSYS manual. And, If you are familiar with APDL program, you can readily make FE&amp;nbsp;model&amp;nbsp;with simple geometry

&lt;strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;Iam working on ansys modelling of&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;DCB specimen&lt;/strong&gt; to determine the &lt;strong&gt;energy release&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;strong&gt;rate.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;Ihave modeled a CT specimen and determined its SIF. Is it right way to model the DCB by changing the dimensions of CT specimen and making it a DCB specimen?..
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
How can i find out energy release rate of the specimen?
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Iam pretty new to Ansys
