interesting list

Henry, this is an interesting list of topics. Hopefully, several of these will be implicitly included in the topics already decided by the future j-club guest editors for this year; otherwise; you may suggest them to the future j-club editor once he/she is elected in July.

Dear Pradeep,

I am wondering if some of my current discussion topics,
http://imechanica.org/taxonomy/term/781,
can be included in the future J-club monthly themes. Especially the following:

thermodynamics of nanoscale small systems
http://imechanica.org/node/1064

paradoxes of the continuum
http://imechanica.org/node/959

simulations in materials
http://imechanica.org/node/1102

materials of engineering laboratory
http://imechanica.org/node/1061

energetic materials, explosion and protection
http://imechanica.org/node/786

micromechanics of composite materials
http://imechanica.org/node/1144

viscoelasticity
http://imechanica.org/node/1103

Call for Future Monthly Themes for the J-Club

Everyone,

As you may have already gathered from previous posts, J-club is set to launch on January 2007. Michelle Oyen has agreed to be the first guest editor/host (----does anyone remeber what nomenclature we decided on?). Her selected theme is "Biomechanics" followed by John Dolbow who will design the February issue on "Computational mechanics".

This post is a call for suggestions for future J-club monthly themes for this year. Please contact me (psharma@Central.UH.EDU) or leave comments below.
