A great conference

I attended the first conference in this series ~2 years ago. It was a tremendous experience, and absolutely worth the trip to Hawaii! I have every reason to believe that the second conference will be as good or even better.

2nd International Conference on Mechanics of Biomaterials & Tissues

In December 2007 Elsevier will organise the 2nd International Conference on Mechanics of Biomaterials & Tissues (www.icmobt.elsevier.com). The aim of the conference is to provide a forum for the discussion of the modeling and measurement of deformation and fracture behavior in biological materials and in those materials which are used to replace them in the human body. The conference will take place in Lihue, HI, from 9 to 13 December. During the conference, the launch of the new Journal of the Mechanical Behavior of Biomedical Materials (www.elsevier.com/locate/jmbbm) will be celebrated.
