Dear Pradeep,

Thanks a lot for the comments. I came to know of the collected works of Eshelby through this forum, and have recommended it to our library; it is a bit steep for me to own a personal copy. Royal Society has opened its archives to public till the end of this month; so, it is possible to get some of Eshelby's papers in pdf format, especially the two on inclusions and inhomogeneities.

This is an interesting review. In case you don't already have it, recently, Professors Markenscoff and Gupta edited a volume that contains all the papers by Eshelby.
