hey,

You will have to

hey,

You will have to check the log file generated in the folder from which you ran the input file. If the log file shows errors then it is not working.

Also, see the scratch files generated on running the input file and user subroutine.

If you have not changed your environment variable then I think the error will persist.

I downloaded the Intel Fortran Compiler from the net. Just serach for it on google and install it.

fortran abaqus ifort.exe

Greetings

I am using Compaq Visual Fortran (v6.5) in Windows (XP) as well, and have come across the same error. (ifort.exe not in PATH)

It was recommended to me that I run jobs from Abaqus command window, which I have done, without any error messages popping up. (although, I am not sure how to view results yet, or if it was successful)

Have you solved this problem for yourself? If so, how?

Kind Regards

Most of users are interested in more popular softwares may be because there is more information about them in the web. also chance of finding person who know that softwares is more. i suggest you to make a comparision table between your software and similar softwares to show you advantages and also disadvantages of this software. what is possible with your software which is not possible with other more popular softwares?

For the story: Oofelie has been developed in one single C++ monoltihic and object oriented code.

This way was chosen to optimize the strong couplings.

We can answer to most of the demands and also more than ANSYS, but we have no industrial solution for High Frequency.

We also import geometries in Step Iges etc... We can use enven the integrated post treatment or others like ParaView.

The structure allows also other codes to dial with Oofelie Kernel.

Regarding Trainings , we have video tutorials, Chinese, english and Portuguese.

We have pdf with contents of training courses.

We also organize trainings here in belgium.

I've been checking on your website, I see that you have a full solution under the same interface, do you have any comparison table between you and ansys?

More further , do you have support and training courses available?

to my knowledge there is no any commerical famous software in meshless, but there are many open source softwares, not so popular, at least as popular as FEAP. May be in this time, Hybrid FEM/MESHLESS methods be good choice. because of loose of detailed information about use of meshless methods.

I can't agree more! Furthermore, this problem doesnot exist on ABAQUS uniquely. This same idea can be also helpful to ANSYS, Nastran and so on!

Re; Setting Fotran compiler for ABAQUS

I have no experience with Abaqus UMATs. However, a quick glance at the Abaqus Installation and Licensing guide tells me the following :

compile_fortran

FORTRAN compile command. The command used at SIMULIA is included in the abaqus_v6.env file in the site
subdirectory of the Abaqus installation. This command should not
normally be changed. It may be either a string or a tuple of strings.
If the command is a tuple of strings, each string must represent a
single command line argument.

The compilation of FORTRAN files using Fortran 90 freeform specifications is not supported by default. The abaqus_v6.env file in the site subdirectory of the Abaqus installation includes comments that discuss the compile options.

I would suggest that you go to that file and change whatever the default compile command is. Of course, people who have used ABAQUS UMATs may beg to differ.
