Mechanical performances of composites are highly dependent
on the manufacturing process in which they have been produced. For example we
can achieve higher strength and modulus by using compression molding since we
can use longer fiber while in injection molding
we do have a fiber length limitation that cases lower mechanical properties
with the same mass fraction in compression molded composite.
There are lots of paper in which this issue has been discussed
but all of them are for micro scale fiber like galss and Kevlar and …, does
anybody have idea what is the situation for nano-composite?,
