The following are two papers on the geometric formulation of classical mechanics. This is a follow up to some recent posting on iMechanica, as well as an attempt to bring about further discussion on the relationship and interaction between differential geometry and classical mechanics.

Thanks for your interests. Yes, I am familiar with the works of Bloch and Ratiu, and of course those of Jerry Marsden.
