PostDoc position at Helmholtz institute in Geesthacht/Hamburg, Germany: computational modeling of material behavior

The Institute of Materials Research in Geesthacht, Germany, invites applications for a PostDoc Position m/f.
The position is initially limited for two years with the possibility of a further extension (starting as soon as possible).

PostDoc Position m/f - code no. 2012/WM 2

In an international scientific team you will work on computational
modeling of polymers with a continuum mechanical approach. You will work
in close collaboration with scientists of other disciplines as well as
with external users. You should be a team player, and have excellent
communication and organizational skills. The applicant has to have a
doctoral degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering,
mathematics, physics, materials science or related areas. Experiences in
the computational modeling of polymers are required. We expect
knowledge of continuum mechanics, finite element methods and good
English language skills. German language skills are an asset.

We
offer an appropriate salary, related to TV-AVH, as well as the usual
public sector social benefits. The advancement of equality at the
