Congratulations to Professor Yildiz Bayazitoglu

On behalf of Elsevier, we offer our warmest congratulations to Professor Yildiz Bayazitoglu, of Rice University, Houston, TX, USA, one of the Editors-in-Chief of the International Journal of Thermal Sciences, who has been presented with two distinguished awards in the past week. On Friday 9 November she received the Achievement Award of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), its highest honour, and on Monday 12 November, during the International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition, she was formally inducted as an Honorary Member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). The awards were both presented during congresses held in Houston.
