Today, February 7th, the NAE is announcing the election of 69 new members and 11 new foreign associates. The public announcement will be issued at 10:00 a.m. (EST) and will be posted on the NAE website.

Congratulations to Michael. Very well deserved, and long overdue. Michael is an original thinker, very creative, and exceptionally good in what he does.
Prof. Michael Ortiz is extremely friendly to students
I never took a class from him at Caltech since I heard his
class is very tough. He worked as my Ph.D. thesis committee member. Indeed, he is very
nice to his own graduate students and other students like me.
