International Conference on Science and Technology of Heterogeneous Materials and Structures (ICSTHMS 2013)
As part of the International Conference on Science and Technology of Heterogeneous Materials and Structures (ICSTHMS 2013) to be held in Wuhan University, China on October 11-13, 2013, it is our great pleasure to invite you to submit an abstract to and join our Session “Mechanics of Composite Structures at Micro- and Nano- Scales”. The microelectronics industry has seen explosive growth during the last ten years. This has driven the development of new composite materials and new generation smart devices and systems such as sensors, actuators, filters, switches with feature sizes now down at the sub micron and nanometer level in micro- and nano- electromechanical systems (MEMS/NEMS). The session seeks to facilitate the exchange of ideas and discussions on the mechanics of such micro-/nano-scale composites, with a particular focus on the small scale effect on the mechanical behavior of homogeneous and heterogeneous composite materials and structures. Researches addressing a wider range of topics in the related area are also welcome.
The Conference publication will consist of a CD-ROM containing abstracts of the contributions received. Authors should prepare the abstract of no more than 2 pages by using the attached template. The pdf of the abstract should be submitted electronically, with the session name indicated in the email, email@example.com by April 15th, 2013 (not April 1, 2013). The submission of the full-length paper is optional, and should be sent by email as well before October 1st, 2013. The full papers will not be included in the CD but some full-length papers will be selected and invited for submission to Composite Structures.
If you have any question or need any information please do not hesitate to contact us. For more information about the conference, you can visit the conference web site http://www.icsthms.com/welcome.asp.
We look forward to meeting you at ICSTHMS 2013 in October!
