Fifth European Conference on Constitutive Models for Rubber

If you are interested by the mechanics of elastomers, there is a dedicated conference for you : ECCMR 5, which will be held in Paris, France, 4-7 September 2007.

It is the fifth edition of the European Conference on Constitutive Models for Rubber Conference. The call for paper is now closed, but registration is still open.

Since its inauguration in 1999, this Conference has become an international forum where researchers of various fields present and discuss the latest trends of their studies on rubber mechanics. In 2003, the emphasize was laid on dynamic properties; in 2005, fatigue and fracture represented the largest topic. This year, the Conference returns to the origins: number of papers focus on constitutive models. Even if there are still phenomenological studies, it is interesting to note that an increasing number of micromechanical papers is published. These papers reflect the recent progress in this field and are interested in both the description of the microscopic phenomena and the development of physically motivated constitutive models. Moreover, number of industrial applications will be presented.
