von-mises stresses in solid model with and without pores

Hello Everyone,

My name is Muhammad Imran and I am a PhD student in TU, Dortmund. I am performing tensile test simulation in Abaqus for aluminium silicon alloy. I am calculating stresses for three different models, one model is solid (zero porosity) and second model has a cavity inside and third model has some pores inside.

I performed elastic-plastic analysis with solid model and then, created some cavity inside. Later on, I had CT-scan for material showing internal pores and I included these pores in the geometry. I have a problem with results. The max. von-mises stress remained same for all three analysis, which should not be. I entered input material properties from experiments and all three models had same material model. Could someone please provide me some suggestion why von-mises remain same?

Best Regards,

Imran
