Call for Abstracts: Symposium on Acoustic Metamaterials and Phononic Crystals, ASME-McMAT 2015

First of all, Happy New Year to you all!

We would like to invite you to participate in the Symposium on Acoustic Metamaterials and Phononic Crystals at the ASME 2015 Applied Mechanics and Materials Conference (McMAT2015) to be held this summer from June 29 to July 1, 2015 in Seattle, Washington. 

The ASME McMAT conference is held every four years and covers all aspects of mechanics and materials. The scope of the Symposium on Acoustic Metamaterials and Phononic Crystals includes, but is not limited to: linear and nonlinear elastic and acoustic wave phenomena in periodic and locally-resonant materials; metamaterial mechanics, dynamics, and fabrication techniques over multiple length scales; and novel material designs including passive and active metamaterials, and hierarchical, cellular, and granular structures. This session will provide opportunities for researchers to discuss recent findings in these areas and interact with the broader applied mechanics and materials community. 

Abstracts for Technical Presentations can be submitted through the conference website (http://www.asmeconferences.org/McMat2015/index.cfm).  The deadline for abstract submission is February 1, 2015. Please feel free to contact us, should you have any questions.
