sound propagation simulation in abaqus challenge

Dear friends,

           I am simulating sound propagation in mild steel.

frequency=5MHz mesh size=0.5mm

time incriment of wave amplitude=1e-9

instead of giving force at a node i have given boundry displacement

U1=5.8e-10

U2=-8e-10

instead of showing sound propagation, my entire specimen(mild steel with 15 mm thickness) deflecting like a wave.I would like to know 1)what is the reason for that deflection?

2)what may be the possible solution?

3)is there any difference in result when we give load as force or asboundry displacement?

with thanks & regards

the problem was in a option of visualisation module of abaqus. I took deformed shape in visualisation module. i changed that option  .now  problem is solved. I am sad that i did not get any suggestions from this forum. i have given a three cycle hanned sine wave as my input.but at my output there is lot number of cycle instead of three.I am analysing my signal in time domine.so i am facing problem with this more number of cycles.consider my simulation as ultrasonic flaw detection by reflection.Can anyone suggest some way to reduce number of cycles.

thank you

my abaqus simulation of time of flight diffraction technique not differentiating diaffracted wave and lateral wave.both gives same amplitude.what to do to gett a better result?.I am doing my work based on "shear wave TOFD by baskaran".any suggestion?
