Uni-axial Compression Test

Hi everyone,

I am trying to simulate the diagonal shear band under uniaxial Compression test for cylinder . No matter how I change the Boundary conditions I still get an X shape damage !!

I weakend the two edge elements to get damage . But it is still not working!!!

Any Idea?
