Coupled elasticity and diffusion with swelling in finite strain framework

rezaiMech's picture

Hi,

In coupled elasticity and diffusion with swelling the total free energy density of coupled system is simply the sum of the elastic strain elnergy density and the chemical free energy density. In this case it is assumed that the deformation state can be decomposed into two sequential deformations: a concentration induced swelling and an elastic deformation. Since this case is two ways coupling the chemical free energy density should be function of both elasticity and diffusion. However, ragrading this at least I couldn't find any publication which present the dependency of the chemical free energy on elastic deformation gradient.

Now I want to work on this and it will be really helpful if someone has any idea about this.

Thanks,

Reza
