In pure shear state, the
In pure shear state, the deformation in one direcition perpendicular to loading direction is constrained as stain=0. While in unixaixla tension, no constrain is imposed as you apply a stress in one direction.

How can we prove this experimentally and analytically. Is there any word like pure tension also?
