JRF position at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Junior Research Fellow in a sponsored research project Nonlinear Interaction of Guided Waves with Delamination Defects in Composite Waveguides.  Expected research activities involved in the project are 

  • Development of a semi-analytical framework for simulating the nonlinear interaction of guided waves with an intermittently closing delamination in composite plates and beams.

  • Assessment of the sensitivity of the damage signatures to various delamination parameters. 

  • Experimental corroboration of the the theoretical results. 

 

The candidate joining as a JRF will be considered for a possible conversion to PhD position in the following semester. Candidates with sound technical background in structural mechanics and dynamics, and the willingness to undertake theoretical as well as experiment investigations are encouraged to apply.  The application in the prescribed format should reach to the office mail box or to the e-mail box of the Principal Investigator, latest by 1700 hrs of August 16, 2017. For further details candidates are advised to visit the  institute's advertisement
