Research Scientist positions at Institute of High Performance Computing, A*STAR, Singapore

We are looking for serious research scientist candidate for engaging into developing a simulation platform specifically on additive manufacturing (AM).

Scope of work:

Developing pre-processing/post-processing/solver for a finite element method (FEM) simulation software specifically for AM.

Requirement:

1. PhD in mechanical engineering/computer science/software engineering/mathematics or related

2. Skilled in FEM theory, and have experience in developing linear/non-linear/thermal/structure FEM solver

3. Have experience in developing pre/post-processing software for FEM with GUI, or experience in developing CAD platform

4. Skilled in c++, and at least one script language (python...)

5. Cooperative software development experience

6. Familiar with library: Qt, VTK, CGAL

Other preferred skills:

1. Experience in software engineering, architecture design, and design pattern; OO programming experience

2. Data structure and algorithm: Searching tree, graph......

3. Basic knowledge on database design.

4. Computer graphics / computational geometry

5. High performance computing, Trilinos, PETsC, CUDA......

6. Experience in powder bed based AM
