Since my background is Engineering Physics, I have not been exposed to many materials or mechanics classes and therefore I am missing some of the fundamental ideas behind mechanics of materials. A class mate, Kathleen, recommended this book as a fast review of the basic pre-knowledge needed for this class. The book goes over stress, strain, torsion, and pure bending in detail. I found the book very helpfull and have used it throughout the class.  I specifically used it to answer the "Back of an envelop" question in homework 2. So, if someone is missing some basic pre-knowledge like me, ckeck this one out.
