There is currently one prospective opening for a research position in simulations and experiments on 3-D printing. Significant prior knowledge of the use of COMSOL/FLUENT/ANSYS for flow and transport simulations and an experimental expertise on the use of additive manufacturing technology is a MUST. Interested and qualified candidates are encourage to send their CVs and brief cover letter (stating why they feel they meet these criteria) to Prof. Siddhartha Das (Email: sidd@umd.edu). Salary and the period of the contract are negotiable. Dr. Das will only respond to the emails of those candidates who will be considered to be sufficiently qualified to fill this position.

Currently, there are several openings for MS positions in SMIEL. The candidate must either have (a) a sound knowledge of the use of COMSOL/FLUENT/ANSYS for flow and transport simulations or (b) some prior experience in using MD simulations. The qualified and interested candidates may discuss the exact nature of the project and other prospects (e.g., funding, possible conversion to Ph.D.) directly with Prof. Siddhartha Das (sidd@umd.edu). Dr. Das will only respond to the emails of those candidates who will be considered to be sufficiently qualified to fill these vacant positions.
