Postdoctoral Position in Multiscale Modeling and Experiments of Textile Composite Materials at the University of South Carolina

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Carolina, focused on hybrid multiscale modeling and experimental method to predict ballistic performance of soft armor systems. The successful applicant will join an interdisciplinary team of faculty and researchers at the McNAIR Center for Aerospace Innovation and Research. The research involves studying multiaxial failure mechanisms of textile fabrics at different length scales. 

The successful applicant must have a background in multiscale finite element modeling and experimental mechanics of textile composite materials. Familiarity with development of user defined material subroutine is a plus.
