PhD position in Mechanics/Acoustics/Sensors at Temple University for Fall, 2018/Spring, 2019

There is one open Ph.D. student position with full financial support in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Temple University to start in Fall, 2018 or Spring, 2019 . The successful applicant will work with Dr. Haijun Liu on interdisciplinary research topics that involve mechanics, biology, acoustics, and sensor technology. To comply with the admission guidelines at the College of Engineering at Temple University, the applicants need to meet the following requirements:

  • B.S. in science/engineering, with a GPA better than 3.0
  • TOEFL >= 79 and IELTS >= 6.5 for foreign applicants who don't have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the United States
  • GRE Quantitative >= 160 (applicants with exceptional qualifications in other aspects may receive a waiver if he/she hasn't taken the GRE test)
  • Master's degree is not required, but will be a plus
  • Starting date will be Fall, 2018 or Spring, 2019

The ideal candidate needs to be self-motivated as he/she will learn a vartiety of interdisciplinary topics during the Ph.D. study.
