Checking upon the status of a submitted paper that has been with the journal for 2 weeks, we received the following response.

Thank you for your email enquiring the status of your manuscript. Due to the editorial team transition, there was a delay in the editorial process. I regret for the inconvenience caused. The journal’s Managing Editor has started working on the submissions. However I would like to keep you informed there are close to 900 submissions that have to be given first priority as they have been pending since last year. Please expect an update to be made on your manuscript in next 2 months.Once again, I apologize for what has happened, I thank for your support shown towards the journal.
