Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the Joost Vlassak group at Harvard University with an expected start date of October 1, 2018. This goal of this position is to develop new calorimetric sensing technologies and use these to study cellular bioenergetics and thermodynamics of materials. This highly interdisciplinary project includes the development of new devices and sensing systems, materials characterization, and cellular biology. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with bio-research groups at Harvard. For more information about our group and Technology for Equitable and Accessible Medicine (TEAM) please visit https://vlassakgroup.seas.harvard.edu/ and https://team.seas.harvard.edu/.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in engineering (materials, bio, chemical or mechanical) or related discipline with research experience in sensors, MEMS, biomaterials, soft matter, or microfluidics by the expected start date. Multidisciplinary background and research experience are preferred.

To apply, please send a CV (including publications and contact information for three references), three copies of research papers, and a one-page cover letter to Prof. Joost Vlassak (vlassak@seas.harvard.edu).
