Call for abstracts: Topic on 3D Printed Soft Materials in ASME IMECE 2019

Dear colleagues:

We would like to invite you to submit an abstract to the topic on 3D Printed Soft Materials at the ASME 2019 IMECE to be held from November 8 to November 14, 2019 at Salt Lake City, Utah.

Additive manufacturing, also known as 3D printing, offers unique opportunities to explore novel properties and mechanics of soft materials. This topic calls papers from research efforts related to soft materials with novel properties realized or created using 3D printing techniques. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Soft metametarials with novel properties
  • Printed active composites
  • Novel printing technologies with new printable soft materials
  • Design theory or methodology for soft materials that will be realized through 3D printing
  • Mechanics of 3D printed materials
  • Applications of printed soft materials

2. Select Track 11 (Mechanics of Solids, Structures and Fluids)

3. Select Topic 11-3 (3D Printed Soft Materials)

Note: This topic accepts “presentation only” abstracts. No papers will be accepted.

The deadline for abstract submission is June 22nd, 2019.
