"Time variation of a fundamental dimensionless constant"

Dear Chad:

I always like to look at the positive side of things too. If there is a
guy who has published five papers that are incorrect and not just
incorrect but very easy to see they are incorrect and a second guy who
has published fifty papers or more that are basically the same thing
with no real significance (and maybe incorrect but hard to see),
shouldn't we thank the first guy and appreciate his kindness for not
polluting the literature as much as some other "more productive" folks
have? I know this is all very politically incorrect but true I think.
