A postdoctoral research scientist position is available in the laboratory of soil mechanics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne (EPFL). The successful candidate will work on various topics related to environmental geomechanics including experimental work, theoretical and computational geomechanics, as well as scientific programming and simulation. The position has an initial one-year duration which is renewable depending on performance. It is available immediately or upon agreement and is open until filled.
 

A recent PhD in soil mechanics or a related field is required. Qualifications include a strong background in civil engineering and continuum mechanics, along with scientific publications.
