The College of Engineering at the University of North Texas (UNT) seeks outstanding applicants for two tenure-track faculty positions in computational materials science in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. The particular area of interest are: (i) atomistic modeling of material behavior; and (ii) computational modeling of material behavior at the microstructural level, for example, evolution of microstructure, phase transformations, micro-scale deformation and fracture processes in metals, ceramics and/or polymers. The search is aimed at candidates who use computational modeling to characterize and elucidate mechanisms of material behavior. Applicants should submit a current curriculum vitae, synopsis of research and teaching plans, previous funding history, and names of at least three references to: MSE Faculty Search Committee, Department of Materials Science and Engineering University of North Texas, PO Box 305310, Denton, Texas 76203-5310. To receive full consideration applications must be received by March 16, 2007. Additional information is given in the attached pdf file and at http://www.mtsc.unt.edu/positions.htm.
