Postdoc position is available at Columbia University
POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH SCIENTIST – Mechanics and Fracture of ice sheets
A two-year postdoctoral position is available at the Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics Department at Columbia University in New York City to work with Prof. Haim Waisman and Prof. David Keyes on the mechanics and fracture of ice sheets. In particular we are seeking applications with expertise in computational mechanics/geomechanics with an emphasis on material model development. Experience with ice modeling, fracture mechanics and parallel computing is not required but will be considered a plus. The project is funded by the department of Energy and is in collaboration with a group at Sandia National Labs.
