Post-doc position in the area of Computational Solid Mechanics

Post-doc. position is available in the area of Computational Solid Mechanics in the Dept. of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of South Carolina. These positions will start at some point in the spring of 2011; no later than May 2011. Post-doc fellowship will be given for first year, and annual-based contract extensions will be considered from second year.

Applicants with a Ph.D. degree in the area of computational solid mechanics, fracture mechanics, or multiscale analysis will be preferred. Also, experiences of developing computational analysis code, and MPI parallel computing will be a strong plus. The successful applicants will work on various topics in computational solid mechanics problems in various length scales.
