The Mathematical Institute at Oxford is advertising three post-doctoral positions within the Oxford Centre for Collaborative Applied Mathematics for(ideally) a 1st April 2011 start. The project titles (with links for more information) are:

1. Brain Mechanics, Cortex Folding, and Pattern Formation in Growing Tissues.
http://www.maths.ox.ac.uk/node/1405

This project will be supervised by Dr. Sarah Waters, Dr. Dominic Vella, and myself at Oxford, in close collaboration with Prof. Tamer El-Sayed and Prof. Sahraoui Chaieb from the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST)
I am particularly interested in candidates with a solid background in computational solid mechanics and applied mathematics.

2. A framework for hybrid discrete/continuous multiscale modelling of biological tissues
http://www.maths.ox.ac.uk/node/14052

3. Mathematical Modelling of Membrane Filtration of Water
http://www.maths.ox.ac.uk/node/14048

The successful candidate will join, OCCAM a well-funded and dynamic research centre in Applied Mathematics at the University of Oxford.

I would be grateful if you would bring these to the attention of any students or post-docs who might be interested.
