Baoxing Xu's picture

The energy/bio/nanomechanics group under the direction of Prof. Xi Chen at Columbia University is looking to recruit a highly motivated and independent postdoctoral researcher to study, based on computational nanomechanics and multiscale modeling, the mechanisms of energy absorption, conversion, harvesting, and storage using nanomaterials. The initial appointment is one year and the position can be renewed based on performance.

The candidate shall have a Ph.D. degree in mechanics, physics, mechanical engineering, material science or related areas with emphasis on material computation and modeling. Past experience with atomistic simulation (e.g. DFT, MD, MC, etc.), finite element method and computer programming is highly desired. Interested applicant should send a resume with the contact information of at least two references to Prof. Chen via email at xichen@columbia.edu
