Review: Coarse-grained model for normal mode analysis of proteins
Submitted by Kilho Eom on Tue, 2008-01-29 15:27.The preprint provides the summary and/or review of current state-of-art in coarse-grained modeling of protein structures for normal mode analysis. This review summarizes the quasiharmonic analysis, Go model, elastic network model, and recently suggested coarse-grained models for protein structures.

Call for Papers: Multiscale Modeling and Simulation: from Molecules to Cells to Organisms
Submitted by jcliao on Tue, 2007-06-19 00:57.A special session on Multiscale Modeling and Simulation of the thirteenth Pacific Symposium on Biocomputing (PSB) will be held January 4-8, 2008, on the Big Island of Hawaii. Paper submissions are due on July 16, 2007. This special session is being co-organized by NIH National Center for Biomedical Computing (Simbios) and the NIH funded National Biomedical Computing Resource (NBCR). PSB brings together top researchers from North America, the Asian Pacific nations, Europe and around the world to exchange research results and address open issues in all aspects of computational biology.

Model Reduction of Large Proteins for Normal Mode Studies
Submitted by Kilho Eom on Mon, 2006-12-11 00:05.Recently, I reported the model reduction method for large proteins for understanding large protein dynamics based on low-frequency normal modes. This work was pubslihed at Journal of Computational Chemistry (click here).
