2 POSTDOC posts on Computational Solid Mechanics (Delamination modeling) and Functional Nanocomposites/Wearable Electronics

The Division of Physical Sciences and Engineering at King Abdullah University of Science and
Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia, invites applications for Postdoctoral fellow in Mechanical
Engineering at the Composite and Heterogeneous Material Analysis and Simulation Laboratory
(COHMAS, http://cohmas.kaust.edu.sa).

2 field of studies are available:

Postdoctoral Research Associate

The University of Notre Dame, Center for Shock Wave-processing of Advanced Reactive Materials (C-SWARM), is seeking highly qualified candidates for two postdoctoral associate positions in the area of computational mechanics/physics with emphasis on chemically reactive solids. C-SWARM is center of excellence established by National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) whose primary focus is on the emerging field of predictive science.

Postdoctoral position in Experimental Mechanics in the Franck Lab at Brown University

There is an opening for a post-doctoral position in Prof. Christian Franck's group (Franck Lab) starting January/February 2017 (exact dates are flexible). The scope of the particular research project entails development of new 2, and 3D soft matter cavitation experiments using high-speed imaging, and digital image (volume) correlation techniques along with image reconstruction (and potentially interferometry) techniques.

Qualifications:

1) Ph.D. in mechanics, or applied physics.
