Postdoc position
Position title: Postdoctoral researcher in physics
Position title: Postdoctoral researcher in physics
A postdoctoral research associate position is available starting immediately in the area of modeling material behavior with emphasis on energetic materials. Candidates with expertise in multiscale techniques and experience with reactive models
are particularly encouraged to apply. The hire must be currently present in the United States. The qualified candidate will have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science. The duration of the appointment is one year.
The Wang Research lab (https://www.wangresearchlab.com) in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) and the Institute of Materials Science (IMS) at the University of Connecticut (UConn) has multiple Ph.D. positions and postdoc positions with details described below.
The LESION (CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM BIOMECHANICS) Laboratory at the University of Mississippi's Department of Biomedical Engineering is seeking graduate students (PhD, MSc).
The LESION Lab aims to develop imaging and modeling tools for the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of central nervous system disorders, with a particular focus on diseases related to the eye and brain, such as glaucoma and traumatic brain injury.
Are you interested in developing Digital Twin technology for machines and structures? Do you have experience with virtual/hybrid testing and/or structural health monitoring? Are you eager to bridge the gap between structural engineering and cyber-physical system engineering? Then the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering invites you to apply for a 1.0-year Postdoc position funded by the IFD project “Cyber-physical systems for machines and structures – CP-SENS.”
The lab of Wave Engineering for eXtreme and Intelligent matTEr (We-Xite) has multiple openings for Ph.D. positions. We are looking for exceptional and highly motivated candidates with background in Engineering, Physics, Materials or Mathematics. The research will have a balance between experimental characterizations (non-destructive evaluation of samples fabricated using additive and subtractive methods), numerical simulations (finite element modeling) and analytical derivations (nonlinear dynamics of spring-mass systems). Interested applicant should send a brief (one paragraph) description of their research interests and their resumes (including educational background, test scores and experience). Please send your emails to we.xite.group [at] gmail.com
There are two open Ph.D. positions in the MCMB Lab starting in the Spring term of the academic year 2022-2023, or in the Fall term of the academic year 2023-2024. One of these positions is in design optimization, and another position is in the fracture analysis of engineering/biological composites. Qualified candidates must have:
The Multiscale Computational Mechanics and Biomechanics Lab (MCMB Lab) at Drexel University is seeking for two immediate postdoctoral positions to conduct research on modeling fracture and healing phenomena in autonomous self-healing concrete structures. Looking for motivated postdoctoral candidates with great communication skills interested in computational damage/healing analysis to develop computational frameworks.
