Research Engineer - Opening at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School on Biomedical Device Development

Our lab is currently developing the next generation of biomedical devices for treatment of major diseases. This includes technologies such as drug delivery systems, smart pills and stents, soft actuators, and ingestible electronics for sensing and monitoring. These disruptive technologies will impact the lives of many, helping treat chronic illnesses, minimize side effects, and improve patient compliance for long and cumbersome treatment regimens.

PhD student position in the field of computational mechanics / phase-field modelling at Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon, Germany

At the Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon, we are looking for one PhD student (m/f/d) in the field of computational mechanics / phase-field modelling to describe microstructure evolution during a thermo-mechanical process within the ERC Consolidator Grant "Modelling Assisted Solid State Materials Development and Additive Manufacturing" (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101001567/de). Application deadline is July 14th.

Opening at MIT Department of Mechanical Engineering on Biomedical Device Development

The Traverso Laboratory is seeking a PhD-level mechanical/biomedical engineer to join the team focused on the development of novel gastrointestinal devices for treatment of major diseases. This includes technologies such as drug delivery systems, smart pills and stents, soft actuators, and ingestible electronics. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and analyzing mechanical systems and materials for biological application.
