<p><span>MS in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field is required. An earned Ph.D. or ABD in Mechanical Engineering is a plus. The individual selected for this position must be student focused, a self starter, and capable of working independently and hands-on in the ME laboratory teaching environment. The primary responsibilities for this position are to provide students with Mechanical Engineering laboratory experiences in Computer Applications, Production Development, Instrumentation and Measurements, Fluid Mechanics, and Advanced Thermal and Mechanical Systems. The Lecturer must also be willing and capable of providing lectures in Dynamics and other upper division Mechanical Engineering courses based on the individual’s specialties. Lectures are typically delivered via live interactive televised broadcast technology to the main campus as well as to local students. Opportunities for lecturing at the graduate level may also be available on a limited basis. Other duties include providing students with a broad range of academic support, student project/thesis support, student/main campus interface for advising, and for course delivery support to faculty at the main campus. A willingness to participate in outreach events and in grant writing is necessary. Participation in the Mechanical Engineering Faculty Department meetings by televideo conferencing is also required.</span></p>
