I am using cyclic load but the force-dip hysteresis behaviour is not correct as the connector reloading follows the previous unloading path which I want to define new reloading path.
Is there any other possible way to model connector uniaxial behavior (cyclic/hysteretic behavior) without using dynamic explicit analysis? In the manual, it is mentioned that connector uniaxial behavior can be used only with explicit analysis. I am having problem when I chose to run dynamic explicit analysis. The model runs fine with general static step (using cyclic displacement as amplitude). I just need to run quasi static analysis as there is nothing to do with inertia effect.
