I am doing a fatigue analysis for a component which is manufactured by stamping simulation From the stamping simulation results , I have taken plastic strain alone. I am doing a nonlinear static analysis in abaqus. I am using the below command *INITIAL CONDITIONS,TYPE=HARDENING,SECTION POINTS If I am using this command, it is asking back stress value. What is meant by back stress? How to calculate the back stress ? Can anybody answer for this question?

I am doing phd in nonlinear vibration. Regarding my thesis, I want to refer the following book

"Analytical and numerical methods for vibration analysis" by "Jong-Shyong"

Since the cost of this book is very costly, I am not able to afford this book. I am ready to buy the used copy of this book also.
