As part of the 6th International Conference on Computational Methods (ICCM2015, www.sci-en-tech.com/ICCM2015), to be held in Auckland, New Zealand on Jul 14-17th, 2015, we (Giang D. Nguyen, Ha H. Bui and Vinh Phu Nguyen) are organising a Mini Symposium titled “Advances in Computational Geomechanics”.

This Mini Symposium aims to provide an environment for exchanging ideas for engineers and researchers in Computational Geomechanics. The themes include, but not limited to: (i) constitutive modelling of geomaterials,  (ii) computational methods/algorithms (FEM, DEM, SPH and MPM) for nonlinear problems in geomechanics and (iii) their applications in practical problems. Special attentions will be devoted to micromechanics-based constitutive modelling and computational models/methods that involves the modelling of failure across the spatial and temporal scales.

We would like to invite you to give a presentation in this Mini Symposium. People interested in participating in this mini-symposium are welcome to contact the organisers.

The deadline for submitting abstract is 15 March and for the full paper is 15 May.

Mini-symposium organisers:

Giang Nguyen, University of Adelaide (g.nguyen@adelaide.edu.au)

Ha Bui, Monash University (ha.bui@monash.edu)

Phu Nguyen, University of Adelaide (phu.nguyen@adelaide.edu.au)
